Writers who were not in agreement with the progressive movement formed a group called Circle Arbab Zouk, which soon became a movement. A large group of new writers were associated with it in one form or another. Among those who were associated with the literary movement of Arbab Zouk circle or those who were not related to any movement, Saadat Hasan Manto had an individual position. Hassan Askari, Quratul Ain Haider, Ghulam Abbas and Intar Hussain are among the representative fiction writers of the present era.
