Sir Syed Movement:

Sir Syed’s movement and his writings not only created a wave of awareness and responsibility among the Muslims of the sub-continent, but also created such a revolution in literature, especially in prose, that there will be few examples of it. Sir Syed’s personality, which is evident in his writings, permeates the modern prose that continues to this day. Every writer of that time accepted the influence of Sir Syed according to his own abilities. Among them, Khawaja Altaf Hussain Hali, Maulana Nazir Ahmad, Maulana Muhammad Hussain Azad and Maulana Shibli Naumani are particularly noteworthy and thus Sir Syed Ahmad Khan along with these elders are considered the founders of modern Urdu prose.
